Hey guys! Sorry it's taken me awhile to write something in this, but things have been very crazy!
I got here last Wednesday, and after a very stressful morning spent in the Frankfurt airport finally arrived to Moore Haus (the house we live in) with all the new second semester students. It was definately a weird feeling going from living in London to a small town in Germany with completely different people. Fortunately, everyone was very friendly and helped us new people figure out where to go for school supplies and other dorm-things that wouldn't fit in our suitcases.
We had orientation Thursday and Friday, which basically consisted of very important and very boring information about living in Germany...
Classes started on Monday. For those of you who are interested, the classes I'm taking are: History of the Modern Middle East, German Government and Society, German (3rd semester), Humanities, and Fencing!!
I think I'm going to really enjoy all of my classes (minus History, which I will go into more detail about later when I feel like complaining about something...). German is definately going to be hard work, especially since everyone else in my class just took German last semester, and I took it in 2 1/2 weeks during the summer... but I think I'll manage.
For dinner Sunday-Wednesday, and lunch on Thursday we have group meals, which are normally at this German restaurant. It's a good opportunity to get to know more people, and the food is... okay. Definately could be worse!
Tomorrow I am going to this town called Rotenberg with about 10 others. It's this small medieval village. I'm excited for my first German trip!
This semester is shorter by a week or so, but it feels like it's a lot shorter! I don't know how I am going to fit in all the places I want to go in just 10 weeks! I think I'm really just excited to have this opportunity to travel and take classes at Pepperdine at the same time!
I don't have my camera with me right now, but as soon as I do I'll post some pictures of the beautiful city of Heidelberg!
